Galaxy child

Another pair of cards I created using a stamp with a sleeping baby. Perfect for parents who are expecting a baby, these cards feature a wonderful watercolour galaxy background.

Autumn flowers

      A card in Autumn colours.
To create this card I used an Altenew Ditsy Print stamp set. I stamped the flower image repeatedly and coloured it with watercolours. Using yellows, oranges and browns give a card an autumn theme.

Brusho powders

For a long time, I was thinking of using Brusho powders in cardmaking. They are amazingly pigmented powders in little pots that dissolve and blend beautifully when the water is added. I finally managed to use some of them.
I created a few backgrounds by applying water to watercolour paper and then sprinkling some powder. The effects are amazing! My favourite powder is definitely the black one as the colour is actually build up from crystals in many shades and activated by water the powder decomposes to black, orange and blue leaving a very original result. After creating my backgrounds, I embossed on them a rose stamp from Penny Black.

Man's cards

It's always a difficult task to create a card for a man. You cannot simply use your best flower stamp as it would look too 'girly'. You cannot use warm or too bright colours for the same reason. You are left with blue as a traditional 'manly' colour, but no one wants to follow stereotypes...

Geometric designs are always the best solution.

Golden

I'm still not sure about the gold on this one...

A thank you card using a fantastic floral stamp from Mama Elephant. I coloured it with Winsor & Newton watercolours and then added some gold details with a gel pen. Sometimes I think I added too much gold. How do you think?

Christmas owls

I made this simple watercolour Christmas card by stamping a cute image from Wild Rose Studios on watercolour paper. I painted the owls with my Winsor & Newton watercolours and added some embellishments.
